Sublimation printing

Post by Tipika »

I'd like to use printfab for managing the color of my epson, for which i converted to sublimation printing

it's mandatory for sublimation that everything i print is mirrored, but i don't see such option, is not possible?

I'd like to make a custom color profile, but once the transfer has been applied, the result is mirrored, can you still make a color profile from the sample i printed, if the result is mirrored?

Hello,

it is no problem to measure the color profile chart if it is mirrored.

A "mirror printing" option will be added in the next release of PrintFab.

so, if i understood right, in order to have it color profiled, i print the test chart on some polyester and then send to you (if the license plan allow it)

Printing and testing the color profile can be done with any version of PrintFab, also with the 30 day trial.
A profile measurement costs EUR 14.95.

This is a short description of the profiling process:

- open the PrintFab Application, dialog "Profiles"
- add a new profile and select the type of paper (e.g. Glossy/Semiglossy photo paper), the print quality and ink limit (the default value 250 is good in most cases).
- print a profile color chart on a A4 or letter sized transfer paper. You will be asked for a profile order number - order codes can be purchased in our online shop for EUR 14.95.
- the final product (after sublimation) should be sent to our office
IMPORTANT: we have a new address:

ZEDOnet GmbH
- PrintFab Profiles -
Sedanstraße 8
87600 Kaufbeuren
Germany

A detailed explanation can be found in the PrintFab PDF manual, chapter 8.
