Epson 15000XP trying to make ink darker

Post by pats242 » Wed Nov 11, 2020 7:16 pm

Hello! We are on out 30 day free trial with print fab and trying to get half tones to look good on our tranparencies. We have an Epson 15000XP and are trying to see if there is a way to make the black ink darker or blacker. Is there a place in settings to do this or any particular settings you would recommend?

this question has already been answered by email but I include a copy as it might be interesting for other customers.

Plese select the media type "Silk screen film" in the PrintFab driver settings.

You can increase the ink amount with the slider "Screen ink saturation" . "Halftone Screen Mode"="Single Black" must be enabled:

Switching to a higher print resolution should also improve ink coverage.

To get even deeper blacks, you could replace the printer's ink cartridges by special "All black" cartridges that block UV light better, then enable the setting "Multi Black" in PrintFab:

Here is a link to Inkjetmall who sell such pre-filled cartridges for the Epson XP-15000 printer:,50135,50136,50137,50138
