Shadows details are lost

Hello
I made two color profiles with PrintFab driver, one for Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta and one for Canson Platine Fibre Rag (CPFR)...
But I have got the same problem : the shadows areas of the prints of my photos are completely black, a lot of details are lost.
The test of ink level was OK, even for level 300, which I chose for both papers.
The colors are good in both profiles, except in the shadows areas.
What is going wrong ? Ink level ? How can I judge the ink level to choose ? All levels seem to be OK (I can't see any bleeding)...

CPFR : I tried to print with a reduced ink level (240 ?) (and the same color profil made with ink level 300) and some details came back in the (too darks) shadows, and there was some weird posterisation ???

I made a color profile for CPFR with Epson driver and printed with QImage without problem. But I want to use Printfab which has no image size limit, unlike QImage, which has no 16 bits option and is not a real RIP, AFAIK.

Printfab 1.07
Windows 8.1 64 bits
X-Rite I1 profiler 1.7.1, spectro I1 Pro 2.

Edit : I print with Photoshop, without color management (print profile is profile of document) and ACPU --> same result.

Hello Simon_Gonny,

some fine art papers that are capable of absorbing higher ink amounts, can also differentiate deeper black intensities. PrintFab tries to use this potential of the papers. However, to actually visualize these deep grey/black nuances, you need a bright illumination of the printed image.
If you prefer to have the dark areas of the image to be better visible with standard illumination, we suggest to use the "Perception Photo" intent (does not apply the deepest possible black) and adjust the "Shadows" slider.

Hello
With perception photo, It is not better.
With shadows slider from 100% to 200 %, it is better, but not OK.

If the shadows slider can not solve the problem with dark image areas, there might also be a problem with the profile you created. How many patches did your color chart have? Did you create an RGB profile or a CMYK profile? We recommend RGB profile with at least 600 color patches.

When printing using your profiles, you can additionally rise the "brightness" and/or reduce the "intensity" slider to compensate the dark areas.

To exclude problems in the profile you created, we would offer to create a color profile with our color profile creation service for free - just send us a color chart printed via PrintFab Toolbox. You could also enclose the printed image with the lost details in dark areas in the same envelope, and send the original image via email for comparison. If you should send it to us, please note that we moved to a new address: ZEDOnet GmbH, Sedanstr.8, 87600 Kaufbeuren, Germany
