6x4 photo printing in Ubuntu

Post by cjbrooker »

Hi,

I need some help or advice.

I can't print on 6x4 photo paper. The printer only starts printing when the paper is half way through the printer feed so only the first half of the imiage is printed on the paper with the bottom of the paper still blank.

If I use A4 paper but set Turboprint to 4x6, the printer still starts more than two inches from the bottom of the page instead of at the very bottom and crops what should be the top of the photo (although it's so far up the page it wouldn't actually have been on the 4x6 paper).

I'm using Ubuntu 6.06LTS, CUPS 1.2.2, Turboprint 1.95-2 and a Canon i455 printer.

Please help me!

It may be a known problem that is resolved with Ubuntu 6.10 / cups 1.2.3: The page format is not correctly transmitted to the driver.

Solution: install cups-1.2.3

Workaround: change the default page size to 4x6 in TurboPrint Config.

Still having the same issue here.
Debian Unstable AMD64
Turboprint: 1.95-2
CUPS Version: 1.2.7-4

Appears that it's ignoring what the application specifies.

Please post the last section of /var/log/turboprint_cups.log after trying to print borderless.
