Epson Stylus Photo R800 - not using all colours

Post by chrisccoulson »

I'm using the Turboprint 1.94-4 x86-64 driver for my Epson Stylus Photo R800 printer. I'm noticing that only the magenta, yellow, cyan, matte black and gloss optimiser ink cartridges are emptying with repeated photo printing. The red, blue and gloss black cartridges remain at 100% capacity regardless. Does the Turboprint driver make use of all 8 cartridges in my printer?

Hello,

matte black is used for plain paper and matte inkjet paper, glossy black is used for glossy paper (I will check if the status fields for matte black and gloss black have been exchanged in TurboPrint Config).

Red and Blue are actually used but only for very vibrant colors.
