Epson WP4530 duplex printing problem

My Epson reverts to manual duplex when used with some software, even though all of the settings are "Duplex / Auto". Is there a way to override this on the affected programs?

Running Turboprint 2.36-1 on Ubuntu 12.04. 64 bit.

Sorry, I mean which application software (e.g. "LibreOffice"ยด, "Firefox").
You should check if manual duplexing is activated as a default option. Please open a "Terminal" window and enter
lpoptions -p <printername>
(replace <printername> with the queue short nam as shown in TurboPrint Control, column "short").
If the output contains "zedoDuplexadvanced=manual" (or "manual-reverse"), enter
lpoptions -p <printername> -r zedoDuplexadvanced
