I'm using OpenSuse 11.2 and with the turboprint driver text files and vector graphics are fine, but when I try to print a bitmap, e.g. a .png, the result is unrecognisable. I fuzzed around with contrast and brightnes, but the result didn't improve. Any ideas?
TIA,
Canute
Canon S520 prints unrecognisable bitmaps
Hello,
there is already a thread from you in the German forum. I answered that the conversion from vector graphics / fonts / bitmap images to a large "page bitmap" for the driver is already done by ghostscript, a component of the Linux printing system - before it is sent to the TurboPrint driver.
Could you please provide some more information:
- did you print the .png image from command line?
- if not: which application did you use to print the image?
- can you email a scan or digicam photo of the printed page (email to "mail at zedonet dot de")?
