Orientation (4x6")

Post by flofly »

Hello

I am using Turboprint 2.16-2.x86_64 under opensuse 11.3 with an Canon i865.

When I try to print out pictures on 4x6" Paper from gwenview, it is always in "Portrait" orientation, thus only half of the paper is used.

Changing the Orienation manually to Landscape or set to "autorotate" in the options dialog does not change anything.
Using Gimp with the turboprint plugin everything works fine.

What can be the problem?

Thanks

Hello,

thank you for your feedback - I could recreate the problem here, however it seems to be a gwenview or KDE problem, not a TurboPrint problem:

- on SuSE 11.1 printing landscape works fine
- on SuSE 11.3 TurboPrint prints portrait instead of landscape, the gutenprint drivers don't print landscape at all (message "filter pdftops failed")

According to this thread the problems seems to be solved in a newer version of gwenview and/or KDE:
