Canon Pixma Pro9000 II page is nearly transparent!

Post by g_ngek »

I have tried every option on the printer settings but cannot seem to get the printed output to show up properly. Unlike any other printer, a simple black and white text output comes out very light grey???

Whazzup???

Hello,

we had a similar problem report earlier - default settings like ink volume & contrast were not in netural position but at minimum.

Please check the settings in TurboPrint Control, button "Config".

The settings in TurboPrint Control are defaults that can be overwritten by application programs, so also check the settings in the print dialog (e.g. OpenOffice: Print dialog -> button "Properties -> tab "Device")

All control settings are at defaults

Ink settings and contrast were the first things I checked. Everything is at its original default settings.

On the "Main" page of the printer config, the "Mode" is "Photo". No other option is available. That is the only weird thing I see.

Please post the log file /var/log/turboprint/print.log - only section for last print job starting from "### New print job".
