Epson StylusPhotoR1900-TurboPrint no ink

i just got in our epson R1900 and when i try to use Turboprint the sheet feeds and the head moves but there is no ink.

i have tried to adjust the ink levels and there is no change

UBUNTU 10.10

test page does the same thing the page feeds the head moves but there is no ink

tpu://Epson/Stylus_Photo_R1900 -- i have tried to remove and reinstall no change

Hello,

thank you for the problem report & log file!

The log file looks okay so there might be a problem with the printer.

Could you please open TurboPrint Control -> "Toolbox" and print a "Nozzle Check" page? There should be 8 staircase patterns printed on the page, one for each ink color.

nothing just a blank page


i can see about hooking it to a windows computer and see if it works there

Yes, please try if you can print from a windows computer.

sorry for waisting your time

i tried it on a windows pc same thing nothing happened so i got on line to look some info up from the place we got it - it had a modification on it - it had external ink tanks 50 ml and i didn't realize there is vents that needed to be removed in order for the ink to flow - it was pulling a vacuum on the tanks.

thanks for your replies but i got it fixed --

a new question - how do i get the red color changed from red/orange ------ red on image red/orange when it prints
