BJNP backchannel couldt not read response payload (select)!

50 % of the times I print, my Canon Pixma 600R stops during a print and I get the spooler message:

"BJNP backchannel couldt not read response payload (select)!"

What does it mean? And what do I have to do to stop my printer from stopping half way through the prints? It's pretty expensive to have to reprint all the time?

I use Ubuntu 9.04 and my printer is wireless.

Hello,

the "BJNP" (Canon Bubble Jet Network Protocol) backend is an open source component that is not maintained by us.

Please check which version of BJNP you are using e.g. by entering from command line

/usr/lib/cups/backend/bjnp --version

(64bit: /usr/lib64/cups/backend/bjnp --version)

it should be at least "0.4".

You may also try the latest version from
