TurboPrint 2.03-1 on Ubuntu Hardy a very pleasant experience

Post by hamamelis »

I have used Turboprint 1.96-4 for a long time and it was a real struggle produce good consistent results. It was so hard to remember how to set it all up. It was also very slow at sending information to the printer. Once I got it going it was fun but such a struggle: it took ages to get it set up right.

I downloaded TP 2.03-1 last night and within 10 mins I had good photo quality prints on my Canon S9000. What a delightful interface to use.
I am looking forward to using the colour profiling which I have always used with WinXP. And all the ink saving features look good too. The ink measurement seems to be effortless.

The program was just so easy to use and interfaced effortlessly with Gimp - just click on File>Turboprint.
It seems to work fine with Photoshop CS and quickly at 2400dpi

Well done Turboprint - I've just upgraded my license to V2.

I remember Turboprint back from Amiga times... it never let me down until this day... but version 2 for linux is simply AMAZING.
THANK YOU from another satisfied customer...
