Canon PIXMA PRO9000 CD printing errors

Post by rasman »

Hi, I don't seem able to print using the CD tray on the PRO9000. Is this supported yet?

I am printing under Linux from an OpenOffice template that's been set to CDtray and CD paper size.

The Printer mover the tray in then flashes the error LED.

Anyone else been able to get this work?

The version of Turbolinux I am using is 1.96-4 (11 Jan 2008)

Hello,

printing on CD/DVD with the Canon PIXMA Pro9000 is supported by TurboPrint. When printing from OpenOffice using our template, please make sure that the media type is set to "CD" and the size to "A4" (the size "CD" is suitable for printing from GIMP).

See also the TurboPrint HTML manual, chapter 9.3. You can open the HTML manual by pressing "Help" in TurboPrint Config (the HTML files are located in /usr/share/turboprint/doc/html).

I found your template; it certainly helps but doesn't seem to have the sample CD label located in the correct position. Having adjusted the position by experimentation labels print fine. I can upload/e-mail the adjusted template for a PRO9000 if you are interested.

Thanks.
