Accessing Photographic Black Cartridge

Post by DLpro »

I am using the PrintFab Pro XL for Mac OS. And I am using an Epson Sure Color T7270 printer.

I have everything dialed in except one crucial piece: I am unable to get my printer to use the Photographic black cartridge. It only wants to use the Matte Black cartridge.

In the printer dialog box I am able to get to the "Special Settings Screen Printing" menu options. And once there I have it set to Single Black.
And further down I have the option to Enable or Disable some cartridges. But the cartridge options are not specific enough. I believe the problem is that it only lists "Multi Black Cartridge Black" as an option for the black ink.
But my printer has a Matte Black Cartridge and also a Photographic Black Cartridge.
I need the Photographic Black Cartridge to be the one printing. But it only defaults to the Matte Black Cartridge, and I see no way to tell it to use the Photographic Black Cartridge instead of the Matte Black

Can I get some help with this?

Hello, the black cartridge (photographic black / matte black) is selected with the media type setting

PrintFab Settings, tab "Main":

Media Type = Transparent Paper => MK ink
Media Type = Premium Glossy => PK ink

Unfortunately it is not possible to use both inks at a time, this is why only one black cartridge is shown in the "Multi Black" settings.
