Hi,
I purchased the Turboprint drivers for Linux with the extra large paper size feature about two years ago. Although it's quite complete, I have a need for printing a custom size, 17" wide X 84" long for a window drape on roll fabric.
I'm using GIMP to open the file and send it to print, but within GIMP, the turboprint feature only has set sizes to print under, and the image is scaled accordingly to US C, Borderless Panorama etc.
Is there a way to print the custom size I need using turboprint?
Paper sizing inquiry
Hello,
you can define a new custom page size in TurboPrint Control Center, button "Sizes". Then GIMP must be restarted so that the new size will be available in the print dialog.
I recommend to download & install the current TurboPrint version 2.12-1 as there were problems with very large print sizes in the previous version 2.11.
Note: A print length or 84 inches is only possible for certain printers - which printer do you use?

Hi, could you provide the link to download the latest update? I don't remember what I selected for free upgrades when I bought the driver a couple years ago.
When I'm in the turboprint control center, I don't see a "size" button, I have a "layout" tab where there are a number of standard "pagesizes" but no option for defining my own. Is there another place I should be looking?
I was able to define my own page size inside of GIMP, but after closing and restarting GIMP and turboprint, the custom size wasn't picked up by turboprint. Again, any suggestions would be helpful.

Start TurboPrint Control Center with the desktop icon "TurboPrint Control" or from a terminal window with the command "turboprint" - then you will see the "Sizes" button.
EDIT:
If you have version TurboPrint 1.x installed, you need an update to TurboPrint 2 to get the custom page size editor. TurboPrint 2.x is not a free update - you need to purchase an update license in our online shop (www.turboprint.info -> "Buy online"). Before purchasing the update you can install it as a 30 day trial to verify functionality - download from www.turboprint.info -> link "Download".
