Check ink quantity failing with printer not found - i6000D

Post by arobinson »

I think this may be due to a low black ink level (as seen on another post), but when I try the "Check Ink Quantity" on my Canon Pixma i6000D, I am getting a "Printer not found error"

Details from turboprint.cfg:

Code: Select all

[turbo2]
Default=1
Name="Canon_iP6000D"
Short="Canon"
Port="device"
Devicename="usb://Canon/iP6000D"
Filename="/tmp/turboprint.prn"
Remoteprinter=""
Remoteserver=""
Remoteuser=""
Remotepassword=""
Remoteworkgroup=""
Remoteip=""
Remotesocket=""
Remoteuri="usb://Canon/iP6000D"
Driver="Canon_PIXMA_iP6000D"
Colormode=2
Preview=0
Cartridge=0
Paper=0
Quality=2
Pagesize=1
Customsize=5000,7000
Feed=0
Tray=0
Duplex=0,0,1
Copies=1
Dithering=0
Truematch=1
Mirror=0
Usercolor=1
Brightness=0
Contrast=0
Screengamma=180
Inkvolume=0
...
There is still ink left, so I am not going to replace the cartridge yet, but when I do I can report back. In the meantime, any other suggestions?
