TurboPrint Cropping Images

I am using TurbPrint for Linux 2.06-1 and RedHat RHEL 5.6.

Printing from GIMP, I can only get TurboPrint to print 15" wide. The image is cropped to that width. Printer is an Epson StylusPro7800 which can print 24" wide. The driver in cups is "Epson_StylusPro7800 TurboPrint" and was choosen by TurboPrint.

Although I am using 24" roll paper, in CUPS I have set the CUPS turboprint queue to use "Super A1 boarderless" paper size because there is no roll width option available. I have CUPS set to use "Roll Paper (cut)".

From GIMP I select the "TurboPrint" option (rather than "Print"). Then I select a paper size like "Super A1", or a custom size like 24x16. The TurboPrint Monitor shows the print being processed and it appears to be cropped during the processing. The printer then prints the cropped image.

In TurboPrint, under Configure->Layout, "Pagesize" is set to "Super A1" (24"x36"), but I have tried others. "Feed" is set to "Roll Paper (cut)".

Interestingly, if the "Print Preview" box is checked, it shows a full width image. After a preview, the image in the Page box is full width, but the printer output is still cropped at 15".

Not using TurboPrint and using GIMP to print directly to a CUPS queue prints the required 24" wide. The CUPS driver that works is Foomatic/gimp-print-ijs.

This seems to be a problem within TurboPrint. I can find nothing to set the width other than the "Custom Paper Size" dialog. I must have missed something, but I cannot figure out what it is.

Thank you.
Rees

Hello,

this sounds as if your TurboPrint license doesn't include the "XL Option" for large print size. I'll contact you by email regarding your TurboPrint license.
