Network print does not work

This is a wonderful tool if I can get it to work, it should solve the problems for many, many people. I have three Macs (OS X 10.4.8) on my home network and three PCs (XP+SP2). We have a Pixma MP500 running in shared mode from a PC and I would like to be able to print to it from the Macs. I heard about your product from a web forum ( and it seems wonderful. I installed the software and installed the printer with the MP500 "PrintFab" driver. The software saw the printer on the PC and it all looks correct. When I print I get the print dialog, I get the bar telling me it is printing, but nothing comes out of the printer.

What am I doing wrong?

please open "printer setup utlity" and open the status window for this printer (double click on the entry).

If you get an error message like "NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED" you may have to set up the printer again and supply an additional user name & password - if the printer is shared to everyone, any entry like "guest" will do.
