Canon IP7250 network print fails on cups backend

I am having a problem printing to my IP7250 wirelessly. TP seems to create the test page OK and it starts printing but then I get a message saying CUPS backed has failed and only half the page prints, nothing meaningful in CUPS log files or anywhere else I can find. Does anyone have any ideas please? This is on the latest TP on Fedora 20 64bit. Printing from TP via USB works perfectly.

Further update:- I have turned on debugging in CUPS and it shows

(/usr/lib/cups/backend/bjnp) crashed on signal 6

I have the CUPS error log but I cannot seem to upload it as an attachment, how do I do that?

Further update: I have found that I can print a text file OK, however the TP A$ Test page causes the failure everytime.

Another update: I had created a bug in RedHat Bugzilla which you may want to review as it seems Canon have changed a response to a command sent by backend. The bug is at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1056222

I have been supplied with a patched version of cups bnjp code which I have tested and works fine. There will be proper fix issued in due course.
