I just purchased a cannon pixma pro 100 and I am trying turbo print.

I am on linux Kubuntu 14.14

I am trying to print via the network and installed using bjnp. The printer receives a static ip from my router. I am able to install the printer fine through the turboprint control. But if I try to print a test page or any page at all, I receive the error in the turbo print monitor window "spooler message": "Unable to connect to printer; will retry in 30 seconds..."

This is the message that appears in the cups web interface as well.

In the turbo print monitor window it will sometimes show 5-8 percent complete spooling before the message appears.

I have been unable to print anything.

It seems to be working now after full shutdown and restart of everything. No clue what changed!

Looks good.

Hello,

thank you for the information! If you have problems again, please find out the version of your bjnp backend - open a Terminal window and enter

/usr/lib/cups/backend/bjnp -v
