cupsd: Unable to open log file "/var/log/cups/access_lo

Post by chrestomanci »

I have installed TurboPrint, and it is working very nicely, however, I am getting loads of error messages in /var/log/syslog and /var/log/user.log. Each message is:

cupsd: Unable to open log file "/var/log/cups/access_log" - Permission denied

(Prefixed with the date, time and my computer's hostname).

I get between 2 and 5 error messages per hour, even when I am away from my computer and don't do any printing.

I have tried changing the ownership and permissions on that file, but something keeps changing it back. How do I fix the problem?

Thank you

Hello,

this is not a TurboPrint problem but a problem of the CUPS printing system - I don't know a solution.
