I am running ubuntu 7.10 64bit version on a dual boot system with xp home on the other side, on a new computer. I just installed turboprint free edition 64bit, to run my printer, but when I click on the turboprint setup icon, or right-click and click open, a window pops up asking for my password which I enter, the goes away, and nothing happens. I tried uninstalling, and re-installing turboprint, but no difference. I have the same setup on another computer, only 32bit version, and it worked fine. Can anybody help me find a solution, I am a noob when it comes to linux, so please include step by step instructions in your reply, or I will get lost :oops:
Thanks

Hello,

there may be a library missing. Try from a terminal window

sudo apt-get install libstdc++5

If that doesn't help enter

ldd /usr/bin/xtpsetup

and post the results (cut & paster from the terminal window).

Tried this, still not working
