Canon Pixma MX850 access via network?
I see that the recently released TP2 supports the MX850. By what method does one access it via the network? I've tried LPD, IPP, and JetDirect, all to no avail. Am I missing something, or is this printer only accessible via direct USB connection when using TP2?
Hello,
currently the printer is only acessible via USB.
One of our customers has programmed a network backend that should work for the MX850:

We plan to incorporate this network backend in a future TurboPrint version.

what about using USB CAT 5e Extender Adapters ?
Would using USB CAT 5e Extender Adapters do the trick over ethernet cabling?
It would look like a local usb printer to the print server, but could be in a remote location.
Here was one example of this product:
Sabrent USB 2.0 Extension Cable to Cat5e Extender Adapter (Up To 150-Foot) (USB-RJXT) USB 2.0 Cable
