Configuration:

Canon Pixma iP5000
Ubuntu Hardy
Kernel 2.6.24-23
printing from evince-print

Changing Brightness, Contrast or Saturation in Toolbox - Main ("TurboPrint - Settings of Printer XXX") makes no changes in printer output.

Printer output is too dark. No change possible.

Any help appreciated

Hello toxamus,

what "Intent" did you choose on the "Color" menu? If you select a colorimetric intent you cannot change most settings as the colors are intended to be reproduced exactly as indicated in the document.
However these settings should have an effect with the "perception" settings.

Problem solved.
I didn't suppose that the saturation/brigthness tab is related with color/correctin settings.
