Canon MP 830 What about the scan and fax functionality?

How can I add these features for my canon printer in Linux? Using Ubuntu 6.06 here.

TurboPrint is a printer driver, scanner and fax are not supported. No solution is known for the fax, the scanner might work with a SANE driver - see

Thanks I will look into that.
Anyone else scanning with an MP830 Canon in Ubuntu?
