To be clear on printing from Qimage one do I set printer driver manages colour then set paper profile in printfab then print

I don't have experience with Qimage on the Mac yet. I would recommend to select "printer driver manages colour" and in the PrintFab Settings select the paper on tab "Main" and "Colorspace"="sRGB" on tab "Color" (these are the correct settings for Photoshop if you select "Printer manages colors" in the Photoshop print dialog).
