Test Ink Limits ET-7750 - Rear Feed

Post by goblindreams »

Hi there,

I'm trying to set up a profile and test my ink limits, but using a paper that can only go in the rear feed. I can't seem to get it to print the test row using the rear feed.
I set it as rear feed in printer settings, but the test row want's to ptrint from the cassette.
any advice appreciated :)

Hello,

when printing the ink limit test, always the default feed is used. We plan to add a selection in a future PrintFab version.
However, when printing the actual color profile, you can select the paper input in the dialog.

I recommend to keep the default setting (250) and to print the color profile chart. If there is too much ink on the chart (ink bleeds from one color patch to surrounding fields), you can create a new profile setting with a lower ink limit setting and print a new chart.

I seem to have the same problem.
Trying to make a profile chart to send to you, I can't print the ink limit test row.
The profile I'm trying to get made is for a heavy matte paper. My printer, Epson xp-8600, needs to have this paper from the rear feed. When I try to print, it is printed on plain paper from the standard feed instead, Tried to remove all paper from the standard feed and print the heavy paper that way, but nothing was printed on it.

Is it ok to send the color chart without the ink limit test row if it looks decent?

Just answered in your other thread - it is possible to change the default input source:

If someone else encounters this problem for a different printer model, please write.
