TurboPrint & PrintFab

Hello:
Running latest version of printFab on Mac OSX 10.5.7 and Quark 7.5. Ive selected the appropriate PPD for the printer in Quark Epson C88. Created a custom size 7.5 x 7.5 called it 7.5 envelope, in the preview window in Quark it appears to be the proper size but when it arrives at the printer it prints as if it was printing on 8.5 x 11. If we go back and try to print another envelope the custom size is dimmed out. Any ideas if this is a print fab issue or Quark?

did you create the custom size using PrintFab Toolbox?

Custom page sizes must be defined in the PrintFab Toolbox application – see section “Custom Page Sizes“ in chapter 5 / page 20 of the PrintFab PDF manual.

The Mac OS X page setup dialog which can be opened from application programs also offers a “custom page sizes” dialog. However, page sizes defined in this dialog don't work properly with printer drivers like PrintFab which are based on the CUPS printing system.

Important: after adding the custom size in PrintFab Toolbox, you must restart your application (Quark XPress, in this case) before the new size will be visible in the list of page sizes for your printer.
