How print from local network

Post by AllanKu5 »

HP 2755 printer usb to Linux mint 22. Prints ok from the computer, but need to print from remote but local computers on this same network. Router may be too far away for printer wireles as I can't seem to set that up. I did have to use an external wireless device to get the computer on wireless.

Hello, first you have to connect your HP printer reliably with your WiFi network - the WiFi LED on your printer must light up. Also your router probably has a WEB administration page that shows connected devices and signal strength.

Once your printer is connected, TurboPrint Control should offer your WiFi printer in the "Add printer" dialog:

If this is not the case, you have to find out the printer's IP address - it should be visible at the router. You can also print a network info page at the printer.

Then you can add your printer in the TurboPrint Control app - choose Conntection Type" = "Other printer" and configure the printer as follows:

"Connection" = "Network printer LPD"
"Server" = IP address of printer (e.g. "192.168.17.127")
"Printer" = this field should be left empty

Then please try to print a test page from the "Toolbox" dialog.
