Ink Limit and UCR on Profiles

Post by mjavier »

Hi. I'm creating a new profile and when I printed the ink limit test, the lower limit turns the red into brown. I know the setting to correct is the UCR so it will not add black to the red but this option is disabled when using a profile.
Any solution to override this?

Hello, for best print quality, it is not recommend to go below ink limit 200. If you specify a lower ink limit, it is possible that dark red is printed with a bit of black ink in the profile target. It is not certain if black is actually used in dark red later when printing with the color profile.

Which printer and what kind of paper are you using?
