Hello,
I've a registered copy of Turboprint software for my Canon MP980 on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx. It woks well for colour printings but no for text documents printings because the printer use a colour cartridge combination for black.
There are no possibility to change the printing options:
main > mode > photo
When I use OOo writer:
properties > device > cartridge > photo
What's wrong? What can I do?
Thanks
Rafa
Canon MP980 B&W printing
Re: Canon MP980 B&W printing
Hello,
the setting "Cartridge" is for printers where the ink head can be exchanged - e.g. some HP printers accept either a black cartridge, a color cartridge or a photo cartridge.
On plain paper, black text is always printed with black ink only. On coated inkjet paper or glossy paper, a bit of color is added for deeper blacks.
To force printing with black ink only, use the color mode "Grayscale" (TurboPrint Control, tab "Color").
