HP DesignJet 130 - print drying time

Post by dglen »

There's an issue with my HP DesignJet 130. Every print is delayed (from the next print in que) by three minutes. For instance when printing from a roll, the image prints, the printer hangs for three minutes (no cutting from the roll). After three minutes, the print is cut from the roll and the next print resumes.

The problem is that the printer can't seem to take multiple prints in the que. The que times out waiting for the three minute delay.

I found an setting in the native HP driver that allows the operator to set the drying time delay; it can be set to zero which is usually what I want.

There's not similar option in the PrintFab HP DesignJet driver. Could this be added? It would make a great difference to my workflow.

Doug
