Hello,

I don't know exactly why the installation breaks. I suggest to download and install the turboprint .tgz archive instead which works as follows:

- download the archive "turboprint-1.95-2.tgz" - please save in personal directory (/home/username)
- open a terminal window
- the command

ls turboprint-1.95-2.tgz

should list a file named "turboprint-1.95-2.tgz" - otherwise please make sure that this file is present in the current directory.

- execute the following commands (your password will be requested):

tar -xzf turboprint-1.95-2.tgz
cd turboprint-1.95-2
sudo ./setup

I see this is an old topic, but I get the same error in freespire! I can't seem to get the .tgz way to work either. I'm pretty new at this so if anyone could offer assistance with either dealing with the error that comes up with the .deb package install or more detailed instructions on how to get the .tgz archive method to work that would be fantastic! I'm running the most up to date version of freespire (2.6.20). thanks for your help.

ok, never mind, I figured it out! :D Now I have other issues, but I'll see if it's already been covered in the forums before starting a new topic.
