I've been using TurboPrint successfully for about 18 months with a Canon Pro-1000 printer using DarkTable 3.8.1 (installed as a regular package) running on Linux Mint 21.3. Every time I print the TurboPrint Settings box comes up so I can make all of the adjustments I need for printing before it prints - perfect.
However I have a new camera and DarkTable 3.8.1 cannot process the newer RAW files that the camera produces. To get around this I've installed the Flatpak version of DarkTable 5.0 that is available via the Linux Mint Software Manager. Doing a test print of a landscape image on 5"x7" photo paper the print has the correct orientation but indented about 3" on the left so that right-hand side of the image is cropped out. Additionally the TurboPrint Settings box doesn't appear, it goes straight to the TurboPrint Monitor & TurboPrint Preview. The Monitor just has what appear to be default print settings: A4, Plain Paper etc. shown in the attached screenshot. This is obviously what is causing the misalignment on 5"x7" paper.
Any ideas on why the Settings dialogue is not appearing when printing from this newer Flatpak version of DarkTable?

Re: No TurboPrint Settings printing from DarkTable 5.0 Flatpak
Hello, if you install DarkTable in Flatpack, it runs like in a "Sandbox" that is not aware that TurboPrint is available on your computer and thus it doesn't open the TurboPrint Settings dialog before printing.
I think the solution would be to install DarkTable 5.0 like a regular application using a DEB package or compile & install from source.

Re: No TurboPrint Settings printing from DarkTable 5.0 Flatpak
Thanks, that makes sense now. What I plan to do is update my install of Linux Mint to the latest, 22.1. DarkTable 4.6.1 is in the standard repo and having tested 22.1 in a VM I've confirmed that 4.6.1 can work with the RAW files from my new camera body.

I also using Linux Mint, darktable (flatpak) and TurboPrint and also run into this issue.
But with e.g. flatseal it is possible to give the flatpak sandbox access to a wide variety of system resources, such as the file system but also the printing system. But despite doing so, Turboprint still doesn't work under dt (when compiling dt from source it works fine), and I wonder why and if there's any way to make this work? I much prefer the flatpak, as I don't want to keep compiling from source and the distro package manager is serveral dt versions behind.
